Data Privacy Principles of Bilecik Municipality e-Municipality and Water Subscription Systems
Bilecik Municipality attaches the highest importance to the confidentiality of personal data, information security, and the protection of private life in the services provided through the e-Municipality system (water subscription establishment, debt inquiry, invoice collection, etc.).
1. Protection of Personal Data
Your data (TR Identity No, Address, Phone, Title Deed, and Meter Information) obtained during water subscription applications, index declarations, and collection transactions are processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
This data is used solely for the performance of the subscription contract, execution of water services, and sending SMS verification/informational messages. It is strictly not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
2. Information Security and Infrastructure
In order to provide Bilecik Municipality e-Municipality services securely and to protect them against cyber attacks, SSL encryption technologies, Firewalls, and real-time monitoring systems are utilized.
Property and address information belonging to our subscribers are preserved in our secure databases (with Belsis integrations).
3. Electronic Payment (Virtual POS) Security
Credit card and bank card information entered during water bill and deposit payments are processed directly through the 3D Secure infrastructure of our contracted banks or licensed payment institutions.
Your card information is strictly not stored, recorded, or saved on the Municipality servers.
4. Transaction Security and Law No. 5651 Logs
In accordance with Law No. 5651 on the "Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed by Means of Such Publications," your transactions on the system (Subscription approval, IP address, transaction time) are logged in a digital environment with time stamps as a legal obligation.
